O Christmas Tree

Every year in the Eveland household we purchase a Christmas tree. Im not talking about the ones complete with lights, were talking feed it water, smells like pine, pine needles stuck in your foot real live Christmas tree. My Dad was going to buy one the Tuesday he fell so my mom said we weren't going to get one this year. I reasurred her that we didn't need one and she said no we didn't but there was just something about walking into the living room and seeing a Christmas tree that made it feel like Christmas. Well today (Saturday) my mom drove us to church for bus visitation and Pastor Hoover was going to drive us back. As we were eating wendeys in the basement we mentioned the Christmas tree, or rather the lack thereof and Pastor offered to not only pay for the tree, but to drive our van and bring it back to the house. So we got in the van and drove the Klemas and found the perfect 8 inch Christmas tree! We strapped it to the back of the car but we could only close the side doors about halfway so we froze on the way back but it was worth it. Pastor and I then carried the tree into the house and set it in its usual place. To most people this would seem like such a little thing but to our family, and especially my mom, it means alot more.

Hey there :)

Hey :) After helping my mom get her blog started I thought Id give blogging a shot. Most of my blog will consist of re-telling my mothers story the way they really happened. Like any good mother, she tends to exaggerate. Except the one where I locked myself out of the house. My mom and sisters went to the library and I, who doesnt read often, stayed home and made peanut butter cookies. Well I went to let the dog out into her yard and I somehow locked myself out. I tried to open the back door to the little garage but it was stuck. I started climbing the fence when it hit me, I could just open the gate (felt like an idiot at that point). As I was taking my own sweet time I realized, THE COOKIES! I ran to the front door which I had locked so I had to go all the way to the back and open the sliding door. Unfortunately it was to late for the cookies, but I didnt burn the house down so I guess thats a plus. I told my mom later, I almost had to go to what I call ''Plan X''. She then asked me what plan x was. Plan X is when I climb the bug freeze zone, not so screened in porch, and walk across the roof to my bedroom window and climb through. Thankfully I have not had to resort to Plan X yet but you never know ;)
